CRIMES OF REVELATION
Definition
"Crimes of Revelation" refer to overt displays of occult abilities that risk capturing the attention of the uninitiated. Any use of such abilities by unauthorized individuals outside sanctioned sanctuaries may qualify as a "Crime of Revelation," contingent on the risk and specific circumstances involved.
Common Crimes of Revelation
Manifestation of Religious Miracles
Establishment of Secret Societies
Cultivation of Prohibited Plants
Trafficking of Miraculous Cures
Hoarding Occult Artifacts for Private Collections
Exhibition of Occult Powers in Public Performances
Attempts at World Domination
Punishment for the Uninitiated
The uninitiated will face immediate initiation or extended nullification. Extended nullification is done via companions. These companions will befriend an uninitiated individual who presents as a break-risk. These companions are combat specialists and nullification field agents. They will pose as a close friend or lover depending on the case. Some companions get assigned to permanent nullification and are pushed into marriages with the uninitiated. These cases are typically reserved for known immortals.
Punishment for Oathbreakers
Punishments for Oathbreakers vary, largely dependent on the individual's willingness for relocation or rehabilitation.
They may include:
Cryptosleep
Extended Nullification
Re-education Programs
Spirit Transference and/or Binding
Execution in Extreme Cases
Each punishment is aimed to maintain the security of the occult community.
